I'm into the 9th day of retirement. While as an educator, I always had the summer off, so I won't really feel it until late august rolls around, during the summer I was always conscious of how much I was getting done on the house, when I was going on the vacation trip, and supremely how many days I had left. None of that now.

I get up at arund 8:30 AM, hav breakfast. Get started on the days tasks at around 10:00---or not.

Yesterday went out with a 1/2 retired couple for lunch; she is a retired ReadingSupervisor, and he's a part time university professor who claims to be working to pay for us. We cheer him on.

We are still a bit in limbo since we are still hoping to sell our house so we can move to the place we want to be. I should say hoping to sell the house at a good price and not a fire sale, but we are prepared to go to the firesale eventually.

My wife and I sold our house in Orange County, California in August 2007. We rented and then we bought our Phoenix house in December 2009. I am going to ride my bike in awhile and talk with some neighbors. I have inquired about coaching high school baseball again. We will see how that turns out.
