Good grief, what were they supposed to do? Step on its head? I wouldn't have the slightest idea how to "dispatch" a wild animal. I don't go jogging with a Billy club in my hand. And injured wild animals have been known to carry rabies and to bite.

If I had my phone with me, I would call animal control. Would that be enough to convince you I have a soul, even if I'm sleek-looking?

This spoke volumes to me and confirmed what we both had felt about the place from the get-go as being a hard, artificial and soulless place s.

Personally, I'd run a mile not to have to be in the room with those people. I'm an Independent, and BTW not all liberals live in trailer parks and college towns. They probably live down the street from YOU but, unlike many conservatives, are quiet about their opinions...
Your quiet?

I know a couple that lives at Sun City West and have for quite a few years. They love it. They are golfers and find plenty to do there. And they do a lot of traveling for extended periods and have "desert landscape" in their yard, so no need to worry about the lawn while they are gone. They travel around and visit kids, grandkids and golf courses. They aren't religious and are open minded people.

Some people live by the spirit of the law and some by the letter. If there's nothing juicy going on the next best thing is finding an HOA violation, apparently.

Seriously? You think everyone in these communities hate children? How pathetic.

I spent most of my career working in a children's hospital, so I obviously don't hate children. Having said that, we chose to live in a 55+ community. There are many reasons for our choice, but one reason is to have peace and quiet and not to have to deal with other people's kids on a regular basis. We have friends who have their grandchildren visit and it is fun mingling with them. No problem...best of both worlds.
