Poor matisse12! The term bucket list has been around a very long time, just got more national notice after the movie. I predict it will be continue to be around for a lot longer. My bucket list is currently virtually endless.

Perryinva, I think the name 'bucket list' is dumb!

that's okay, if you think it's fun, that's what counts

One reason I do not like it is that it is making light and making fun of something serious (death)

Call it 'cultivating interests' or 'enjoying interests' or 'finding new interests' and I'm fine with it!

A World Cruise.

Would love to do the one on Oceania for 180 days. However, may have to settle for Princess or Holland America so as not to break the budget.

oh my god, I wouldn't want to be on a big cruise ship for even one day!

2 weeks is mind-boggling long on a cruise ship, let alone 180 days!

you are not on it for 180 days straight. they make stops along the way. generally you will not go much more than 7 days before you reach a port.

I am just the opposite as I love love love to cruise!! Hubby and I have been on 15, and number 16 which is a 10 day Italy cruise is booked for this coming April. While in port in San Juan, PR on my last cruise the ship docked next to mine was called The World. This ship consists of all personally owned condos, and many people who own them these are their full time homes. If I were to hit the lottery I could not imagine a better way to spend my time than traveling on the oceans of the world on The World

I learn about so many interesting things on this forum. Wow, condos on a ship! Prices run 2-6 million with yearly fees of 90-270k and that was from a 2012 post I found. It's not my cup of tea but for someone who loves cruising and traveling, I can see where it would be at the top of your list.

The way they get you is the booze charges. Most cruises don't include it and won't let you bring your own. Only complete teetotalers escape this. Now to be fair I drink little so would not be greatly affected. But most customers end up getting reamed.
