I cant remember the pizza I had yesterday, but I do remember my first one...1953 in New York. It was a little hole-in-the-wall place with Patti Page's "How Much Is That Doggie In The Window" playing over and over again. That was the best pizza I ever had. There's just something about New York pizza.

In the 60's, made by my mom. She was a great cook and she learned from her father. He was an Italian Immigrant to the US from Sicily. He thought of pizza as an appetizer.

1971. Was 15 years old. Babysat for my uncle and aunt on new years eve. Uncle drove me home and stopped for pizza on way. I thought I hated pizza till then. Had never actually tried it.

Shrimp and mushroom. Nnever tasted anything so good before or after. Still addicted. Known to everyone as a pizza addict (no I'm not a fat guy). Have pizza twice a week even now and I'm 55.

can't recall first pizza but remember my first good pizza~ was in service and my shift met at my place for pizza party. One guy said he would make the pizza~ then asked for wifes glass cake pan. Pizza was 2 1/2 inches thick and delicious. That thin stuff they serve just isn't good pizza

I'm pretty sure the first was a Chef Boyardee Pizza Kit that my Mom made. Late 1950's or early 1960's??

After that ... Shakey's Pizza after football games in high school

1961 or 2, at an open air cafe on Telegraph Avenue in Berkeley, think the place was called Pietro's. Didn't have another as good until a couple of years ago at Mia Francesca on Clark in Chicago.
