Yes, a coincidence indeed.

Waiting for a heart - update:

The 10-year-old boy who is waiting in the hospital for a heart transplant has now been there for six months. He celebrated his 10th birthday in the hospital. But he is stable and has a good attitude according to his mother and his brother. He is now allowed to receive in-person visits from his 12-year-old brother, and I know they both enjoy that. "Face-time" had been the default mode of communication, which at least beats a voice only on a phone.

I am acquainted with a man who was waiting - for a long time, relatively speaking - for a heart transplant. After a few months he was getting very worried and trying to accept the fact he was not going to make it. A good looking man, very popular, a Juilliard graduate, only in his early to mid-50's. Luckily a compatible one became available in the nick of time. Now five years later he is fine, enjoying life and working. He has a couple of Siamese cats he adores.

Winter Weather Advisory for SNOW. YAY!!!! Forecast highs in the 40s and 50s with rain/snow the next ten days. I love it! This 85 degrees with 30-40mph wind and dust storms the past dew days has been stupid.

Almost dueling lawn tractors yesterday afternoon, when the sun came out on the Olympic Peninsula. My neighbor who was told by his boss, a Chihuahua name Mocha, to get busy, mow the dandelions in the front yard. Mocha waved as I too was
moving the dandelions in my front yard, across the street.

Today, grey skies, dry. DGD (Darling Granddaughter) in Colorado Springs, told me of the mixed weather there-snow, rain, hail. Mother Nature cannot make up her mind !

You still can get your Senior Pass for the National Parks good for your lifetime, for $10. It is supposed to go to $80 soon, but the park ranger yesterday said he had no idea when. But the seniors were lining up when I went to get mine.

I have a friend who works at a national park near me, told me that increase is a rumor and no one has any idea when or if it will go into effect. Still $10 for a lifetime pass to our national parks, everyone should get one.

When I turned 65 my fishing license went down to $1 and my state parks pass to $60.

Word is that the increase will go into effect in October. But why wait?
