Just spent the past 3 weeks in a hospital. It's good to be in my own bed (although obviously not sleeping, lol) for the first time since the last week of June!

That's a lot of driving Meo. I can't remember if I ever did 500+ miles of driving in one day.

I hope the rest of your trip is easy and clear "sailing."

Also hope you enjoy the rest of your trip and that AZ proves to be your perfect spot.

Oh dear! Welcome home. That was a long hospital stay. I hope you can stay out of there for a while. I hope you start to feel better!

Café ? Come to WA, Olympic Peninsula, Espresso stands on almost every corner and markets too ! For myself, DH preferred Seattle's Best, just purchased some---beans DARK roast or French Roast I prefer. A little of Stevia I put in it. In the afternoons, sometimes enjoy a blended Americano---Espresso with water, ice and put in a blender. When one orders an espresso, it's another language in WA state !

2000, we traveled from WA to MN; when the waitress asked if we wanted coffee, we asked what kind---she looked at us with a questioning look, finally replied "Regular or decaf" When WA ask what kind, it could be regular, decaf, French roast (dark) or some kind of espresso beverage.

Madman---Happy you are home; prayers for sleep, speedy recovery.

Meo---DH was raised in Duluth; to me MN is Scandhoovan country ! Were you reading Garrison Keillor; so enjoyed listening to him; did you see the movie with him, Meryl Streep ? Prayers for travelin' mercies.

Prayers too for all the fires in our U.S.A., this native CA heard folks being evacuated near Yosemite this morning.

Lavender Festival in Sequim, WA begins this Friday; current temperature 68 and ----- Sunny !

Sera, didn't see the movie but I don't think there's a Minnesotan our age that hasn't read Garrison.

Madman glad you're home. Keep getting better.

Would you believe the motel from he-- I was at last night did not even have a coffee pot in the room? I had to get my fix at the convenience store when I filled up with gas.

I'm paying more for this room tonight but at least they have a free breakfast in the morning & the room is clean.

By the way, 600 miles today. Only 550 left. And then I'll see deelighted's town & visit with her.

My son recently stayed at a fairly pricy hotel and was disappointed they didn't have a coffee make. He went and bought a hand press coffee maker. He's the type that has coffee going from the time he's up until the time he goes to bed.

Lots of driving. My wife and SIL are going to AZ next week. They are planning to make the whole 1200 mile in day with two drivers.

That could be done. It seems a long way,& it is but when you can drive 75 mph for the most part, the miles fly by. I can't drive at night so that limits the hours I drive.
