Tornados damaged a few businesses/homes in central/northeastern Iowa, but not as bad as was expected, and no fatalities.

Here (New England) it continues to rain and rain and rain...and rain. Now I know what it's like in the PNW. They're probably getting our normally beautiful June. This weekend will be stellar, then back to rain. I'm glad I didn't book a week at a cottage, will probably go spur of the moment later this summer to a B&B. I have memories of growing up going to cottages on Cape Cod when there were no advance weather reports....several times we experienced a solid week of rain (once, a hurricane) during these precious family trips. There's only so many board games you can take and trips to gift shops.
