I had been wearing bifocals for approx 20 years that were a pretty strong perscription..........after the surgery, the Rx was quite weak........Then a couple of yrs later I had to have a different type of eye surgery in both eyes......it was called:...Vitrectomy, and was successful....done by a specialist in that particular field.
Now in my mid eighties, I, by choice wear trifocals, very thin and light lens in a rimless frame,...AND have corrected vision to 20/20...............

My almost 12 yr old Brittany came into my life shortly after my wife passed away in 2005 as a 5 month old puppy.......I don't know how I am going to handle it when his time comes.
He has been my constant companion for all these years and has traveled with me in the SUV more than 80,000 miles through 12 states.

Just in case you were wondering, .....there are over 2 cows in Montana for every person.
Actual number is 2.36 cattle for each person.
THAT ought to make you sleep better tonight, right.

MontanaGriz, thanks for your thoughts on cataract surgery, your empathy for pets and making me laugh with your post responding to NYGal1542.

It was clear and 50 degrees this morning with a cool breeze. What a nice change to be able to have the windows open and fresh air.

Hello everyone! Hope everyone has a good weekend. Just want to remind folks that this is still Pledge time for your local PBS station and there will be some entertaining programs on tv tonight. If you are like our family and are on a tight retirement budget, there are some great concerts, travelogues, and special programs coming on. One that is showing tonight is a tape of the 1961 Inaugural Ball for John F Kennedy with many famous entertainers performing. That one comes on at 7:00 on our local station and I hope I remember to put it on.

However, the Chicago Cubs are in town [Phoenix] tonight playing the Diamondbacks and if Hubby finds out it is on local tv I may be out-voted. Lol!!! But PBS repeats the shows so I can catch it later, I think!

Thank you, I probably would have not caught the game, were it not for your post.

FWIW, I think Larry Fitzgerald is a great W/O, but also probably the finest role model in the NFL.

SO I washed the Jeep today. Clear sky bright sunshine 80 degrees.

Yup, so far in the past hour the temp has dropped to 58, I've received an INCH of rain, pea size hail, lightening, thunder and 45mph winds.

BTW I live on a dirt road, which is now under several inches of water, and mud.

And so it goes...

Is summer over already? Or is it just the Colorado vortex going through another iteration?
