I went to town to get a pizza. Traffic was really light so it only took me an hour. Luckily I called ahead and it was ready.

Well after all the years of complaining, my new toilet is here and installed.

Good grief. When it's flushed it sounds like blast off from Cape Canaveral.

Even toilets need to retire. Id say enjoy, but that sounds wrong.

jean_ji: I forget what the toilet is called, but it is doing what it is supposed to. High compression, or something of that nature. The toilet that was the problem was only 6+ years old. This is what they call a "green" community, so low water usage..... I am the second tenant that needed a better one.

Tek-Freek: Now I don't dare to look inside the tank. haha

Now the cats need to get used to it.

Toilet Trivia, Part II: Alexander Cummings may have received the first patent, but John Harrington, who lived two centuries earlier, is considered to be the inventor of the flush toilet. It's also thought that he is the reason that toilets are sometimes called "johns." Here's more info if anyone is interested:

I would have never guessed. Looks "expensive".

Can't say it is progress. Now they are going to have to work on it not shaking the whole house when it is used.
