Temperatures dropped fast this afternoon, had windows and balcony door open, closed them up fast as it got pretty chilly in here. I think rain is on the way.

Looking for spring. I want to get outta here! See something different.

I don't know how warm it got today but the record was back in 1906 when it was 63 degrees. It was well into the 70s today and gorgeous. Fresh air all around, balcony door open, dog bouncing and cavorting outside, people starting to trim their shrubs, everyone was in a good mood. Mild weather! Fresh air! Blue skies! Sometimes that's all you really need.

It sounds like you guys have finally managed to shift your winter down here to the southwest, and we thank you! We need it! We had maybe 3 days of our 'winter' weather so far, until yesterday. Now hoping for some serious rain . . .

Shifted to the northwest too. Last night, the low temperature was in the single digits. It's up to 13 right now. Forecast to snow this weekend.

Another 2 inches of snow overnight 23f and light snow this morning. This snow almost makes it pretty here. Dogs having fun playing in it and it's very quiet for a change.

Made homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast with coffee.

The first home we bought, in Indiana, is under a flood warning. The back yard is directly on the river and is below the confluence of two rivers, both above flood stage and rising. The road in front o& the house is closed to traffic. Melting snow, rain and frozen ground are a bad combo.

We went through a flood there >35 years ago in April which was bad, I can’t imagine it in February with more cold weather to come. We’ve always like living near water, but possible flooding is the downside. I’m watching the updates, we still have family in the general area and road closures are impacting them.
