Sorry Jim, that hurts to have your expectations crushed. At least they didn’t let you move in and sell it out from under you.

I am really sorry to hear this Jim. People stink, don't they?

Years ago I was supposed to move to a new apartment. Three days before move-in day, they called me to tell me I could not move in. I spent that day driving all over trying to find an apartment available in a short amount of time that would accept my cat. Ended up spending 3-4 weeks in a motel until one could be moved into.

So I understand the frustration you feel right now.

Jim -- I am very sorry to hear about your bum deal. These people should have had the courtesy to inform you of the sale!

We're having a wonderful time. Yesterday we were anchored in Halong Bay, which is one of the most beautiful places I've seen. Here's a short video I found on YouTube that includes an aerial view.

We set sail last night for Taiwan, so now we have two relaxing days at sea before we arrive just in time for the Pingxi Sky Lantern Festival, which signals the end of the 15-day Chinese New Year celebration.

Our pool construction is moving along.

Yesterday was the shotcrete: cement pumped in and sprayed from one of two cement trucks into the forms and rebar. Listening to the crew’s bullsh&t while prepping made me worry, but the cement truck arrived and boom! they were all business and worked together as a team. It was interesting to watch the process. Now we wait for the cement to cure.

DH is away working on a project installation and was living vicariously through pics and videos I sent him. He wasn’t left out though. He received a text invoice for the first of three payments two hours after the crew left.
