It was very quiet and peaceful last night. So quiet in fact it woke me up.

Wind is ferocious here. Lots of people without power (glad I'm not one of them!).

Ice jambs along the shores of lakes. Snow fell in more northern areas.

Still waiting for spring!!

No, it did not. March has been a lion all the way and April is starting out the same way.

Renewed my fishing license ($1.00 good to be old), and going trout fishing today at the most beautiful place on earth. Lake levels are low and the fish are hungry. I shall do my best to catch my limit (4) and have them on the grill this evening. I do practice catch and eat.

I have a lifetime license. It was about $600.

After one turns 65 here (Colorado) fishing licenses are $1 a year. Anyway, caught a ton of trout, kept two and grilled them for supper. Tasty!

People over 65 don't need a license in Nebraska. I purchased mine many years ago. Haven't been fishing. Too cold. I wonder if Spring is ever going to come
