Looks like there is another Winter Storm headed my way. I think we will skip spring and go straight to summer.

It's snowing here in gloomy Connecticut. My daffodils did finally bloom but somewhat late. Now they are covered in snow. Everybody is wondering what happened to spring this year!

We had a few nice days last week. Couldn't go outside due the smoke from the fires in Kansas.

Picked up two trash bags of beer cans bottles, Sonic bags, and one syringe from my walking trail where the local kids go to party on weekends. Found a shot doe deer, the tenderloins removed and body dumped.

Can see where they raced around tearing up closed areas and wild land grasses. And put out a smoldering campfire.

It's a shame that this country is in a place where no one cares to control that type of behavior. If they stopped it there the idiots would just go somewhere else. But at least you'd have some peace and quiet.

24 degrees here last night, today DH planted tomatoes.
Some days I think I'm married to the smartest man in the world and other days I wonder if it's time to hide the car keys.

Winds over 25mph all night, huge out of control fire in town last night, they had to page out all off duty firemen to help. 35mph wind and dust this morning, everything in here covered in dirt. Noticed some siding was blown off, and my wind gauge thing blew down. Sky is a nice shade of brown from all the dust.

I tip my hat to you. That's really hard work. It broke my heart to see all the trash along side the roads that were hidden in the snow. Now that the snow has melted, people's ugliness is revealed for all to see. It saddens me to realize that irresponsible people live in this beautiful area, just like most everywhere. I guess I hoped it would be different.

Went out a week ago from yesterday and spent four hours along one stretch of road and filled up three and a half large bags of trash. My empty trash barrel was filled to the brim. I know who trashes the environment based on what I picked up. I'd be willing to bet some money that most of the litterbugs are 20-something men. Lots of beer cans and energy drink bottles. And cigarette butts galore. People don't realize that cigarette butt filters do not decompose back into the environment.

Now that taxes are done, if the rain ever lets up, I'll head out and hit the other side of the road.
