Sorry you got that reaction from the preacher. A lot of people really can't deal with it.

The vast majority of people live in a bubble, and as long as they don't have to wait over 3 minutes for their $10 morning coffee, life is good. And, in itself, is probably a good thing.

You go right ahead and vent anytime.

Ok some guy in England is marrying some American actress I never heard of and the news media here is going crazy. I don't get it. Well at least they stopped talking about this Russian nonsense for a second.

I'm going fishing.

The media has been harping on the wording the bride used to talk about her father. She said that she "cared for him". The media wants to know what does THAT mean? Why didn't she say she loved him?

The media really needs to get a life. Good grief.

Default Precious Metals IRA for retirement questions. Have you tried?

Hi everyone,

I am new here to City Data and I am curious if anyone has experience with precious metals in IRA.

My childhood friend and I have been coin collectors for 30+ years and he had great consultation for his IRA (Gold IRA) but one success story is not enough data for me to go ahead and dive into it myself.

Please share your experience with a reply or message me. I would love to share what and who I have stumbled upon. Who were legit, and who were clearly overselling and selling dreams.

Very important topic for me, I've worked hard to plan properly so any feedback is appreciated.

Thank you.

Checking in this morning from New Orleans! Myself and the 2 guys are here for a family wedding. Yesterday, late in the afternoon, we experienced a severe thunderstorm with hail. Boy, did it rain, it POURED! Caused everyone to be late to the rehearsal dinner, but we got there. This is the first time we have ever been here, and it almost feels like a foreign country, down here in the French Qtr. Sidewalk musicians, artists, and haunted building tours everywhere! Absolutely amazing how much income is earned tax-free around here; many of the street musicians look like they may hold day-jobs, too, and are just supplementing their incomes. The streetcars are wonderful. The city is farther along in its recovery then I thought it would be - - I would definitely recommend coming here for a unique vacation.

Default Up and Down

Got up at 1AM for the wedding. Back to bed until 4 cause it was just all fluff. Then up again from 4 til 5 to see the real thing. Was kinda disappointed in the Princess's dress ! So back to bed again until 9 am. Whew. Glad that's over ! Anyone else watch?

I was up at 6 and watched it with a cup of tea. I loved seeing the green countryside, the buildings and the Rolls Royce. I loved the simplicity of the dress, the yards long embroidered train and the sparkling diamond tiara made for a beautiful ensemble to showcase the bride

I enjoyed the ceremony, but turned the TV off when the commentators began again. While I enjoyed all the pageantry, I kept thinking about one comment I heard: that the bride was giving up her normal life in exchange for a gilded cage. I hope her new life turns out to be all that she envisions.
