One does not tease about things like coffee and bacon! Oh the humanity.

It's my warped sense of humor. Sorry.

I have a story the polar opposite. When I moved into my current home, I needed things for it. I found a small trash can for under the sink that was specifically made to hold the plastic grocery bags. It had 2 cut outs on either side for the handles to fit into. I thought it was so cute, I'd never seen one like this before and it was perfect for me. I was tickled (it doesn't take much to make me happy, I admit). LOL

My daughter is waaaaaay serious. I showed her my trash can and said with a laugh, "isn't it adorable"? Her response........"Mother, it's a trash can." I then said to her "you have no sense of humor".

I still am tickled with my trash can, it is useful and so cute........

meo92953: Your sense of humor is just fine. I "got" your meaning, I think jim did, too.

I've calmed down a lot and had a chat with a medical friend. I'm still going to move, just not as soon as I thought I would. End of September, I think. And I've decided to use a moving van. Pricey but for me it is worth it. I'm sure you understand when I say moving takes a tremendous toll on us, our bodies and minds. I am going to need this help, and I know it. My "good" knee is acting up. I don't really want another replacement surgery (one was plenty), so will see about cortisone and any other treatment my insurance will pay for.

Me too. I am so much happier since I moved. Yes, it was expensive but there really is no price you can put on being happy, or even just content.

Meo, I keep thinking about that, too. Some things are just priceless. It will take most of the remaining retirement money I had, but I'm going to stop thinking about it that way.

Someone else wrote somewhere else (I have a bad memory, sorry) that they were ready for a new place to explore and enjoy. And that is exactly how I view my move. I really need this change and I'm looking forward to it.

I was also amazed at how well I am living. Who would have thought, with rent being higher, that I would actually do better here? Amazes me.

Everyone can relax now, I bought coffee. Two packages of coffee. The universe, as we know it, is once again safe.
