jean_ji: Very sorry to read about your dog. I've had to do this a few times so I know how hard it is.

jim9251: Another hot day in paradise? Not.

Having gone bankrupt not that long ago, I have wondered how long I'll need to wait to get approved for a credit card.
After hearing the news today regarding interest rates going up with more increases coming, I am so glad I do NOT have a credit card. If I can't pay cash for it, I'm not getting it.

The credit card companies will be falling all over themselves to offer you credit. Because you can't file another bankruptcy for 5 (maybe 7) years. So they have you by the short ones . . .

I've been told by my bank that I have to wait a year before I could get a credit card.
But interest rates going up, no thanks. I'm doing OK without a card.

I don't need or want a lot.

At the end she had a good family & lots of love. Its sad to see them go but knowing the family member(yes, I said family member) was loved until the end, that will stay with all of you forever.

I offer my condolences, but mostly my thanks for loving her to the end.

Jean -- I am so sorry about the Pup.

Jim -- Hang in there. Tough situation with the fires. I am hoping that we will get a bit of rain from "Bud" down near the MX Baja, but I am not betting any money on it [not a gambler anyway]. Be safe.

I hope everyone has a pleasant Friday!

Thanks but the fires are not close to me. Maybe 70 miles away, I am getting smoke from them. Here I am under a complete burn ban because it's so dry. Anyway, my ahem "home" is on dirt. There's absolutely nothing that can burn here.
