Very sorry to read this, Jim. Hope by now you are on the mend. Ice helps those kinds of injury.

I've seen my share of good vs evil people. I am always sickened at what another human can do to another.

Thanks everyone. Really sore this morning. The guy on the horse was the same guy a few years ago who galloped by me while I was walking yelling "Move ***hole!"

Jim -- Very sorry to hear about your fall. Glad to hear the Pup stayed by your side. I hope you are on the mend.

Sorry to hear about the unsavory character who you had the unfortunate experience of meeting up with more than once.
Hopefully a new place will come up on the rental market soon and you can move.

Today I need to figure out what I will be taking to a potluck lunch we are having at church tomorrow. It is not a July 4th celebration, it is a good-bye potluck for a couple that are moving away. I need to put my thinking cap on and figure out what I am going to prepare. Or maybe buy....I am leaning toward buying fried chicken, or making coleslaw; I cheat and buy the pre-cut coleslaw bags and just add the dressing and maybe some grated purple cabbage for extra color.

I hope everyone has a good day!

I just finished making the coleslaw dressing for dinner tonight. We also buy the bagged slaw; actually wanted broccoli slaw but they were all out. My wife is making one of our favorites, hot dogs and baked beans.

I was thinking that we would go into the park after dinner. Then I remembered that this is Slide Cookeville weekend. They close off several blocks downtown and set up a waterslide which will be running today and tomorrow. It is right by the park, so finding an available parking space would be a miracle. Looks like another quiet evening at home. Maybe popcorn and a movie latter.

I hope that everyone has as enjoyable a weekend as possible.

Too bad there isn't a way to make the horse rear up and pitch this guy on his keister - but then he'd probably hurt the horse.

MOVE

I would have probably been charged and arrested had I done that. And been trying to move for years. Have the money now, I can move today IF I give up my dog as every single place I want to live in is NO PETS.

I will not give up my dog.

I wouldn't either. He has been your buddy for a while now.

Some places allow dogs.

Keep looking.

Not where I want to live, there are very few rentals and every single place NO PETS. I'll stay here and be miserable so I can keep my Gus.
