Cooler where I spent today, an hour away. Everything is an hour away. Yes I sat with my feet in that river, drinking a raspberry ice tea. 103 here at home now.

Didn't find anything to buy at the estate sale, but a nice afternoon anyway with lunch with friends. Beautiful night for the concert in the park; temperature cooled off when the sun went down and a nice half moon and just some wisps of clouds. Old fashioned bluegrass band and you can't help but have fun when they play a song like Five Pounds of Possum in My Headlights.

My 2004 Mazda MPV is in the shop; got a miss in the engine. Nothing showed up on the computer so they tried replacing the plugs and plug boots. That didn't work so now we are at replacing all the coils which should do the trick. Really like it as a second vehicle and fixing it sure is less expensive than getting something as a replacement.

Got a chance of rain (fingers crossed) over the next few days. Really do need it for the grass and flowers. Don't have to walk in the morning, so would love to wake up to the sound of rain.

That river looks so clean & clear - so unlike any other river I've seen.

It will be 77 degrees today near the beach in San Diego and the same for tomorrow. My husband and I will head downtown tomorrow to walk around and see all of the people dressed up for Comic Con. He likes to take pictures for awhile then we will find a place with outdoor seating to grab a drink and a snack. Sunday we will take our paddle boards out near the yacht club.

Just came back from a trip to the local grocery store and thought I'd pass along something that I couldn't decide whether was worth a chuckle or was slap-the-side-of-the-head ridiculous. Or maybe it was both at the same time.

I was wheeling my cart through the meat department when I saw the attached "sale" sign and did a double take.

Two cents?! Are they f'n serious?

Well, we just got the rain I was wishing for. Unfortunately, with the rain came hail and the tornado sirens going off. Storm has moved on through for now, main brunt of it was a few miles north of us, but still under a tornado watch for the next 5 hours. Looks like so far, no vehicle damage from hail.

I've been in two tornadoes, not fun. Stay safe.
