I'm wondering if it wouldn't be best to turn them over to a scam alert department in the government, although I don't know if there is one or what they would be called. US gov would be the place to go I would think.

My reasoning is; not too long ago agents caught people in, (was it India?) Who were running scams. It was all over the news. If no one turned them in, how would our watchdogs know to investigate?

The awful words he said in the end makes me shudder. Obviously there are people against the United States that have to be watched.

It may be too soon to share this, as I could backslide, but as of May 7th I've been smoke free. I started being serious about it after the doctor told me I needed another stent and it did take quite awhile, but by gradually cutting back, I was able to quit completely.

I will say there are still cravings, but so far it's going good.

meo -- Happy to hear this news! I hope everything works out for you. Did you get the new stent yet?

No. Trying to work it out with the insurance company as to logistics.

meo -- Sorry to hear you are having to wait with the insurance company logistics. I know you live in a more rural area, maybe that is why?

I, too, am in a waiting period for medications, and it does take a while for things to get straightened out/approved. My delay right now involves getting approved for an infusion drug -- [more]blood tests, chest x-ray. But one of them did get approved and I had my first one yesterday.

Hopefully this gets straightened out and approved, pronto!

Well family reunion is over, everyone is back to their various states. I've put more miles on my car this past week than all year, food was great, only 3 relatives got sick due to the altitude, only 2 fights, and it was entertaining to say the least.

Good for you! Keep it up. My husband who smoked for probably over 40 years whom I never thought would quit, quit a couple of months ago because of an aortic aneurysm. He still get's the occasional cravings but they lessen over time and he hasn't given in when he gets them. He started with the patch but it kept falling off and finally just went cold turkey. I'm proud of you!

Thanks.
It's really strange when the cravings come. The morning one I understand but the rest come at different times. Oh well, this too shall pass.
