Sorry to read this. Kinda sounds like when I, and currently my niece, get a migraine headache. Always comes at the end of a very stressful time, like the end of the work week. You have had a lot of excitement, anticipation and stress lately. This is probably the "let-down".

Hoping it goes away quickly and within a month from now you will be leading the life you have always wanted: peace, quiet, just you, your beloved dog, a nice home of your own, and..........pizza! Whenever you want it.

My wife and SIL made it home safely this morning. My wife had a great time, but she is happy to be home.

Me too!
I am still amazed at how right it feels.
We moved and although I have made some friends and have a bit of a social group I definitely could use more and it's slow but steady which I expected. Also, reasonably happily married but it's still an adjustment being around each other so much.
That is really the only source of not total contentment but it's definitely not the job or work that I miss!

It sounds so delicious, I can hardly stand it!!!
I do enjoy these morning sleep ins upon retirement. Spent so many years 'doing more by 9:00 than most do all day long" that sleeping in just seems sweeter.

Caught 12 rainbow trout yesterday, kept four (the limit), cleaned them and gave them to an elderly neighbor who can't get out to fish anymore.

Went out for lunch and then grocery shopping; first time dong that since the knee surgery. Nice to get back into the routine, but I sure do feel ready for a bit of a nap.

Picked up our van from the glass repair place on the way back home. Yesterday. my lawn guy hit a rock that went and shattered the back window of the van sitting in the driveway. Window had to be ordered, but got here in less than 24 hours. I was pleasantly surprised as I figured that it might take longer to get one for a 15 year old van. I'll be getting my lawn cut for free for a while.
