I didn't realize it had gotten so cold in some places already. brrrrrrrr.

I still have roses in bloom and we ate the last tomatoes from the garden yesterday but they had been picked a week ago. The cold is on its way here too.

It's supposed to be in the teens tomorrow morning. I know two dogs who will not be getting their walk.

We faired well, a few flakes of snow. The road is dry. it's about 26 out. A little extra grain for the horses to warm them up.

Time to get the Carhartts out of the attic, the LLBean barn coat won't be warm enough soon.

We should know if the duplex sale is complete by the end of the week. House shopping in Florida soon!

Woke up to this refreshing article on 10 science-backed methods for happiness (with the exception of no. 3, all good for seniors).

10 Simple Things You Can Do Today That Will Make You Happier, Backed By Science | Belle Beth Cooper

I LOVE the 7-minute exercise (I knew there had to be a theory that less is more) and the 20-min fresh air (my instincts are right about open windows while sleeping and overheated homes). Since I cannot do impact exercise, the mini trampoline with 5-lb weights for 10 min 2xday works for me in all weather. The dogs supply the fresh air walks. Sleep, no problem.

Happiness is maximized at 13.9C—57 degrees. My happiness zone is 40 to 70. I guess I'm in the happiness zone.

"So if you thought being old would make you miserable, rest assured that it's likely you'll develop a more positive outlook than you probably have now."
