Chickpea, grew up in Southern Utah.

So many older people have their kids phones numbers for them at doctors offices. Like having an administrative assistant. I hope that my Mom never does that! Maybe when I retire. Shoot, parents are living longer, then you need to take care of them.

I'll be completely honest. While I am fine with being the butt of a joke, in this case it went completely over my head; I do not understand the joke. I can only take a wild guess; is it because I usually don't post about trivia? Well, if so, I can only say that I became curious about this trivial matter.

In any case I am pleased to have given you the occasion for some humor.

Chickpeas is most common but I hear both terms used. I missed the joke too.

Garbanzos where I am in N. Tx. I assume it's the Mexican influence. Never 'garbanzo beans' or chickpeas.

Your question came out of the blue out of context to anything else and seemed completely uncharacteristic of you (I've come to expect deep thought from you). I wondered if you'd dreamed about chickpeas vs. garbanzo beans and had just awoken in a bit of delirium to post the question. Added humor to my day.

P.S. Chickpeas here, though it's more upscale to say garbanzos.

LOL. Well, my guess turned out to be more or less correct. It's quite true that my question came out of the blue and out of context, but since this is the chat thread I have often changed the subject in the past. I hope it's clear that I was not offended in the least.
