Finally, a sunny warm day up this way. I bundled up in layers but found myself "stripping" by the time I got to my walking destination. I managed to walk 50 min each way and got a good dose of fresh air and vit D. I was glad to see my front door in my final steps. If I could just keep this up at least 3 x week I'll be in so much better shape by spring. Walking is indeed a mood elevator!

In the first photo, what is that lamp on the small round table? Very nice, BTW, thanks for sharing.

negirl, I would love to be walking but there's ice everywhere!

Clark, did you refinish the floors yourself? (sorry if this has been asked already)

Just as I started to get on a roll, it's pouring cats and dogs nonstop. Just enough of a break for me to lose my momentum (I hope not). It'll probably all freeze over when the temp plunges and then we're back to square one. You can't win....around here. Mall walking is my next strategy.

Mall walking is my sport of last resort. A few days ago in my obsessiveness I went for a walk.
I nearly fell, I was without my phone for peacefulness. Wound up calling out to a stranger
Would they please let me use their phone to call home for a ride. iCE everywhere.
BH got a kick out of this Ill tell you

EEK, BTDT!!!!!! I used to walk a mile and a half and went out one November. As I was coming down the slight hill about a quarter mile back home I realized it was a sheet of ice. I had to walk home baby steps all the way back.

TIP always walk with your knees bent if it could be ice, then you won't do the knee jerk recovery if you slip.

I'm sure you all knew that, but thought I'd throw it out there.

I benched DH today even though he's feeling good from going to the barn it's so icy. I will bounce a lot better than he.

Had to keep the horses in because of the rain.

They got up the icy hill to the top pasture yesterday and when I came to let them in they stopped dead halfway with that 'come get me mommy' look on their faces. When I ran back with the salt and sand they got back in, VERY slowly, like baby horse steps.
