Oh gee, Ani. Your husband gets to use an "I told you so" over going or not going.
Even though you had some difficulties, it's good that you got to do it.

It was a crazy decision to go. His docs said - if he is determined to go, this will be his last big trip - so if he thinks he can make it - his decision.

It didn't help that the night before the flight, Hubby says to us all - "If I die in Hawai'i, just cremate me there and throw my ashes on some lava rock."

Ani, I share your frustration, DH needs a hip replacement which will never happen, he is afraid of docs and sees on TV all day 'Had a hip replaced? Cal 1-800-LAWYER'

Today he could barely walk and went back to bed at eleven. My heart breaks for him.

Ani, I had been wondering how you were doing. Better than expected, by the sounds of it. I'm so glad you took a big trip like that and had such a good time. For dh it's the last time but it beats staying home and never going at all. I guess we all have to take the good with the bad.

The time for mollycoddling is over. Start screaming at him and start looking for the right orthopedic surgeon. His waiting has almost certainly aggravated the problem and at some point not long distant he will be in a wheelchair. Neither of you will enoy that.

I'm glad I have new hips.

I most certsainly will not scream at him nor insist he has the surgery. It's his body. It's his call.

I'm glad you had great success with your hips.

Maybe he will change his mind, I don't know. I can only hope.

CCC - I sure hope he has it - living with pain must be just awful. Those TV ads scare the H out of people - for every bad experience there are 100s of positive.

Ani - Nice trip and aren't you lucky to have your son & his GF along to help. I feel for your DH - it's tough on a man to have someone doing everything for him. Glad you were all able to make it - love Hawaii.
