TEAM USA! TEAM USA! TEAM USA!

Umb, some days are better than others. The extreme cold really gets it bad. Summers, he's playing with tractors and stuff just fine. Sure, he's a bit more limited, like bending over and stuff, but he paces himself and deals with it. This subzero winter has really wreaked havoc.

Must watch it tonight, they are great and this is a first for the US.
I'm so thrilled for them. I've rarely seen artistry like that. They are mesmerizing. And GO MICHIGAN for producing such amazing artist/athletes. Can't wait to watch it on TV.

He must be a cutie. They are such beautiful dogs and one of the smartest breeds. I don't see how he could steal a soccer ball though. My dog plays soccer with a bone.

He did. Ran three houses down and took off with the neighbors soccer ball. I did the neighborly thing and returned it.

Almost time for going to a sugar shack ~ one of the nice things about New England. If you've never been, you're in for a treat. You go into the shack heated by wood and see the maple syrup bubbling away in troughs. The whole place smells divine, and kids are so excited. You sit at rickety tables and order up pancakes with the sweet stuff, or snow cones and steaming coffee.

Anyone here tapping their trees?

sounds lovely.

reminds me of growing up in rural NC and boiling molasses from sugar cane.

Same great country, different ways.

We don't tap, but there's an old sugar shack on the neighbors property. It's a big deal in the next town, they have a mini festival. And the commercial tappers all have pancake breakfasts on the weekends for the tourists. I love the maple candy.
