I am THREE months past my total hip replacement ! Anniversary was yesterday. Has made a great difference in my mood and outlook. Went to a huge flea market Sat. with my daughter and could actually outwalk her ! I chose a very good surgeon who only does the "anterior method" and was up walking the next day. This is by far the best thing I have done for my body, besides taking out one boob that had cancer in it ! To anyone who needs this, don't be afraid. It is very different now (easier) from years ago.

I am going to look up Last Tango - have never heard of it - sounds delightful.

Hope everyone is staying warm and safe and well . . . wherever you might be located.

You may need subtitles as it is supposedly in Yorkshire dialect. I have to listen hard and I grew up with that dialect--my grandparents came from there, a village near Halifax. But it's a charming series, happy, sad, heartwarming, and seems true to life and not too sugar coated. I hope you enjoy it.

My good wishes to everyone for health and warmth.

After the respite here of 54 degrees we've gone back into bitter cold and windy and at the moment, swirling snow. More deep cold on the way. I hope March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb, not the other way around. More than a week more of this and I'll have to be carted away.

Hang in there, y'all, we made it this far. I know, it still sucks.

Howling winds and 19F. Lake effect light snow, which is very rare for us because we so far east of the Great Lakes.

It can. He got ripped a new one by the Dr. for not coming in sooner. He had an appointment on Wed. But sometime early Sunday morning he went to the ER. Dr said he might have really been in trouble if he waited. He's the type that will wait until he has no choice. I really don't get it.

Sometimes I wish I would have followed my grandfather's advise about raising animals and not children.
