I can see some bare ground out back. Starting to imagine gardens.

Does anyone have a mini-greenhouse that does not require a lot of paraphernalia maybe just a tiny heater? Or greenhouse that attaches to a window?

I've posted some of my winning poker sessions in the past so I thought I'd write how my weekend has gone. On Friday I played for 13 hours from 10am - 11pm and left with a loss of -$198. (My fourth losing session this calendar year.) Yesterday I played at a different casino for a little over 2 hours while my wife went shopping and I won $212. As I have no plans to play today, my combined results for the weekend are 15 hours for $14, or 93 cents/hr.

Too bad they don't have a minimum wage for this type of part-time work, lol.

Actually, I've never required a great deal of sleep, maybe 6hrs/night in my younger years. These days, I actually sleep less, averaging 4-5/hrs night. For example, when I came home from poker Friday night around midnight, I ate dinner, watched a little tv, and then slept about 4 1/2 hrs. Last night, I fell asleep on the couch a little after 9pm and then woke up at 2:00am and have been up since.

Although I'm in Miami Beach now, one of the things that I like about Las Vegas is that it's a 24/7 town. I can do almost anything at any time of day or night and that really worked for my sleep style. If I woke up at 2 or 3am, I could just hop in the car and be in a poker room in 10 minutes. Here in Miami the casinos for the most part are only open 24hrs on the weekend.

The first "harbinger of spring" I noticed three weeks ago: the witch hazel bush a block from my house was in bloom. Witch hazels are always the very first to bloom ... not showy blossoms but little yellowish spider looking things on the branches.

Last week I noticed my next door neighbors "snow drop" flowers opened. Today I saw the first crocuses.

My daffodils are green shoots two inches high popping out of the ground.

On the subject of card games, I am reminded of a quote by the late Mae West:

"Good sex is like a good game of bridge, if you don't have a good partner you better have a good hand."
