Good wishes to you down in NC!

Here in Southern New England we've had the best June ever. It's been sunny, dry, crisp and cool with cool evenings. No air-conditioning needed. June can be pretty sticky here, so this is a most pleasant alternative. At this rate, with the cool polar influence visiting us, can't wait to see what July brings. It'll probably start snowing in September! All good, no complaints.

I was just thinking that our summer is a month late, meteorlogical summer, that is. We've had two a/c days so far. My irises are either late or dead. The peonies just bloomed yesterday.

Hoping that winter will be late, too!

Strawberries are out. You can go picking or buy them fresh. (I think so, I've been sick so either I dreamed it or.....)

Look at the bright side...if your flowers are blooming late you'll be able to enjoy them later than if they were 'on time'. The only thing that came up for me this year were the Hollyhocks...and they are HUGE.

Just popping in to say that the surgery went fine but ran longer than expected. Belly feels like I tried to do 100 sit-ups but the drug is helping, I think, but the brain is a bit fuzzy.

Have a friend here with me to be on the safe side and we're trying to decide which DVD movie to watch.

Feel better, zugor. Ask your doc if ice is okay, it may help with the pain.

Hope you will be doing better daily and that you will heal quickly. Tough period . . . what movie did you end up watching?
