Oops, I meant five months. I should learn how to add and subtract. Also, my post title didn't show up; it was regular posters who haven't posted in a while.

I almost got T-boned a couple of nights ago in an intersection where I had the green light and the other driver had the red. I don't know how anyone is unable to see a red light at night but we both came to screeching halts in the middle of that intersection and I am sure we both saw our lives flash before us. And for the record, he was way younger than I am. Thank God I was going slowly across that intersection or I wouldn't be typing this right now. Yes, I always drive at the speed limit.

Okay so some of you say it is selfish of older folks to go at the speed limit or a little slower. I contend that if you have all your faculties, YOU are fully aware that on any given time you drive your car, you are probably going to encounter some soul who needs to go somewhere and they will be traveling slower than you. So YOU should take matters into YOUR own hands and leave 10 minutes earlier, relax and enjoy your safe ride to your destination albeit slower. You'll get there and you might just live longer.

According to the authors of Freakanomics women who name their sons Jesus have the lowest educational level of all women based on the names they give their children. As memory serves, it's less than tenth grade. At the opposite end are women who name their daughters Veronique. Their educational level is grade fifteen.

If anyone is interested in a really bitter argument this bit of information should provide excellent fuel.

The entire book is interesting and provocative. It's definite worth reading.
