Congratulations!
Awwww, thank you. It's taken some serious 'sacrifices' the last few years but so worth it.

The really nice thing about this place is that it is move in ready! If anything I will eventually paint the family/dining room a different color but in the meantime I can live with it. Most of the houses I looked at needed some serious TLC...for my price point. Some had nice yards but that just gave me ideas for my own place.

Isn't it though? And when they get all their 'stuff' out it'll seem even bigger. The washer and dryer are practically brand new so that's a plus too.

A few other things I wasn't expecting to find are I'll have both swamp cooler and AC, reverse osmosis system, soft water system, garage door opener already installed...a big plus!...ceiling fans in ALL rooms and a few other things I'm not thinking of right now. That huge building at the back of the yard is storage! We thought it was a shipping container but my realtors husband thinks it might be the trailer from a 18 wheeler. And it FULL of 'stuff' that they have to clean out. There are also two small storage sheds and I'm thinking of using one for my garden shed for potting, etc..

Wow, Brat, that building at the end with the double doors is a workshop? I thought it was the back of the house!

I was so fortunate to not have those as one of my "symptoms". Both of my daughters are dealing with it now. I did have two incidents but that's all. I never had any of the problems so many do and always felt very fortunate for that.

I thought it was too when I saw the pics. It's used for storage now but would be a great workshop. It's big enough it could make a really cute studio apartment. But that would take a lot of money so I guess not. Would have to add a lot of windows! If I had a family it would also make a great 'play room'...pool table and all that good stuff.

I've stopped thinking of it as hot 'flashes' when they stopped happening randomly after about 10 years and morphed into a kind that starts abruptly every evening and lasts all night. Nice thing in the cold months but still seems strange to start stripping down after maybe being bundled up all day and complaining of being chilly at 70.
Been over 20 years now, so guess it's become a permanent thing.

o_c, thanks for the good news.......NOT

I've been taking 2 evening primrose oil and 4 black cohosh root twice a day for about four weeks now.

I've gone from kicking off the covers like a soccer pro and annoying Dh to just feeling a bit warm and sticking a leg or two out from under them.

No more sleepwalking/eating/cussing episodes.

TMI, I know but I'm a lot 'friskier' these days.....not that I turned into a nun, but, you know.
