I'll try to remember to complain about how beastly hot it is and not fit to go out sometime this summer.

My mum likes to tease me 'round about May, when Chicago is typically warmer than Sandy Eggo.

Barb, sorry to hear about your teeth, get well soon!

Getting stuck in this weather I wouldn't wish on anyone. Huge PITA.

Umb, I have no idea what our sunny day count is, but it ain't enough, I can tell you that.

Here we're having wild swings of weather.

For the past few days it's been near or above 70 degrees with sunshine although today is overcast.
We have a cold front coming in..down to the 30's with freezing rain and sleet and then by next weekend back into the 60's.

I don't like cold weather but this is the type of "winter" that I prefer..a week or two of cold and then a week or two of nice weather.

I actually mowed this week because the grass had started growing. My plum tree is full of blossoms and I have my fingers crossed that this cold front doesn't kill off the blossoms (that happened to me last year and no plums).

And I heard the first flocks of geese flying north earlier this week.

I'll probably have my share of those stories too. As warm as it's been this winter I am really leery of what summer will bring. Where I live it's not unbearable in the summer and we rarely hit 100 degrees. But if it's 110 in Phoenix it'll be 'about' 100 here. Nights are a LOT cooler here. I don't even run the cooler at night in summer. Well, I'm not running the heat at night these days either. I'm thinking it's iced tea weather again! lol

When I lived in the mountains here, at 5,000 ft., we would have 70s in Feb.. The trees would 'think' it's spring and everything would be in bloom. Sometimes it would be okay and sometimes, around Easter, we'd get some big freezes...and maybe some snow...and that would be that! Seemed like every other year we'd be over run with fruit on the trees and other years, nada.

I'm not seeing any green in my lawn yet but the apple trees actually have green buds on them. I don't think I've ever seen geese fly over here.

Did you know this weather is being called the Siberian Express???????

'Siberian Express' in eastern US continues into next week

Very odd weather for much of the US. This time of year e are usually starting to mellow out but all next week and well into March we are to continue with below average temps.

Comforter + hot chocolate (or whatever) + fireplace + cuddly cat or dog or spouse (you should try it Escort) or - or - or

Problem with this weather is my inner bear comes out and my energy takes a hiatus.

Oh I did try it. Had a "cuddly spouse" for nearly ten years and it was great, but it didn't work out for the long term (a long story). At my age I enjoy my own ways too much to make the major adjustment of actually living with another person. I don't really feel the lack anymore perhaps partly because I have a fairly full life. We all have to create our own happiness, and the solutions will vary a lot even when others do not relate to them and do not understand them.
