Don't have them yet. Daisy had a lump and went to the vet last week, needle aspiration was questionable so she went back today for a biopsy. Got an email that it will be 4 or 5 days until the report is back but the vet said it doesn't look good, probably a sarcoma. I did a little reading up on soft tissue sarcomas, surgery and chemo are possible treatments. I don't know what the next step will be on the part of the rescue.

Meanwhile, Zack, the 14.6 year old is beginning to lose control over his bowels, pooping in his sleep and the weakness in his left rear leg is getting worse. Going up and down just the few broad, shallow steps from the back porch to the yard is becoming more of a challenge for him. I've been down that road before with another old black lab and I can't help but wonder just how much longer his quality of life will remain good. Experience has taught me that at this point things can often go down hill quite rapidly. I guess that I should let his former owner know that things are not looking too good for him, perhaps he will come and visit one more time.

Boca continues to remain completely obsessed with one of the cats, she continues to ignore him.

Zugor the goat seems to be content to remain in his own pasture, guess things are greening up enough for him to stick by the horses.

A lone goose made a short visit of a few days on the pond but no nesting mamas at this point.

That's it for the critter round up news.

Ah, Zugor, you are earning your wings caring for those old dogs. I know that feeling, when they start to turn that corner and approach check out time. Deep breaths, treasure every moment.

actually quite creative with all those numbers and letters and such.

I wonder if you sent a reply:

Dear Agent Donald W. Freese.

I am really impressed with all the effort you put into finding out that I was the beneficiary of this large sum of money. Please be assured I will have no further contact with any bank or person in either Nigeria or the United Kingdom (except Jezer of course).

As a federal agent I assume you cannot accept the money as a gift so please give it to your proctologist in partial payment for the treatment you so desparately need.

Thank you for your time.

Not really since I no longer have a colon, although I do occasionally take a prescription-strength probiotic (VSL#3 DS) when my J pouch becomes inflamed.

Does your dad have IBD or IBS? There's a huge difference between the two, although some of the symptoms can be similar. Basically, there's no underlying organic disease associated with IBS.

Eek, not sure, I think the less serious of the two. The probiotics took care of it, he's symptom free.
