Zugor: I have always enjoyed your posts and I did not report you or anyone for that matter. I've been so whiny myself lately, I'm amazed I haven't been booted off the forum.

Yesterday was a horrible day. Enough said.

CCc girl: You have been wonderful in so many ways. I have always appreciated that. I think sometimes people who have never had to experience an extremely painful situation with one or more of their children do not understand the impact some discovery can be.

Ignore them. This is a chat thread to talk about whatever you want.
And FWIW I didn't think your post was whiny at all but rather interesting.

I know what you mean about walking in the tall grass..I have a pasture myself that needs some serious mowing.

Enjoying the Retirement board. The five months before I retire will surely be the longest five months of my life.

They put up 173 square bales in my equipment shed where I used to have a couple of dog runs. His dad took another 95 bales home. That all came from the far side of the creek and tomorrow they will bale the fields on the road side of the creek, probably get at least another 100 bales.

Once everything is baled they can move the horses out the north pasture and bushhog that section, much of it is too boggy to hay. The goat will be happy to be able to get up on "his" rocks, which are 3 huge flat ones stacked one on top of another and they are about 5 ft high. I believe they got pulled up when the farm pond was dug. Tim is going to yank out a small magnolia tree that has never done well and finally died this past winter and deal with the two huge tree rounds that never got split. They are about 42" across and one has a splitting maul stuck in the center but that's as far as anyone got in dealing with them. Then I can get the stump guy to come grind out the two stumps, they should be plenty dried out by now, it's been several years since I had those 2 huge silver maples taken down before mother nature came along and did it for me.

I'll be able to take the dogs out for some good walks and not have to worry about close encounters of the slithery kind with the tall grass gone. We all need the exercise.
This is a whiny post? I love your posts! I've lived in the country and totally get the daily challenges and rewards. Some people just don't understand. I almost wonder if they got the wrong person/post. Makes no sense to me. Carry on!

People who use reps to insult are cowards. Why not come right out with the insult, as some do here, for all to see? The "ignore" feature is your friend, if you have a reasonable guess.

A rep's a rep. If someone you despised handed you a dollar would you refuse it?

I put the first person on IGNORE just a few days ago on his two user names. In retrospect I should have done it to a few more over the years. They, however, are either gone or I've forgotten them. I just don't get excited about a message board although I do sometimes wear out.

Anyone watching what is going on with China's stock market? I hope no one is invested heavily in stocks that will be affected by the crash.

Isn't it strange that the NY stock exchange went down today. I mean there was some sort of computer glitch and it just wouldn't work. Sounds like somebody in China didn't like what was going on with their own stock market and was worried that their stock in American companies would be affected. (Just my amateur guess.)
