It is not axiomatic that when a poster "disappears" it was a matter of choice for him or her. Sometimes City-Data makes the choice for the poster. People can only violate the rules so many times before there are consequences beyond a slap on the wrist. Reminder: the prohibition against personal attacks extends to direct messages, including direct messages to moderators. We can attack a moderator viciously in a direct message only at our own peril. It is a foolish thing to do.

Wasn't she having a CT of her chest on the ninth? I hope all is well.

Had some time away from C-D. Came at a right time as I have been spending a lot of time with my sister who is very close to death. She has lung cancer and it's been a long journey for her. Medical people can't believe how strong she is and how she has stayed alive as long as she has. God bless her.
I have had a couple of health scares, too. A chest CT that showed nonspecific findings along with some things on my thyroid. Ultrasound of thyroid next week. Hopefully this will be a benign finding, too.
I've been enjoying reading your posts. Have not been able to respond, but most of you are such good people. And very smart.

I have learned that some people aren't worth my getting into a jamb over. So I'll do what I need to do.

For all the rest of you, thank you!

I should have read up on all the posts before posting that, my apologies. If I had, I would have seen what you posted about your sister. I hope she is passing in peace and without pain and that you'll find peace in the process too. When someone I love passes away, somehow I fear death less. The people who go before us light the way.

Thank you RiverBird. Nobody knows where she is getting her strength to stay alive, but somehow she is doing it. She isn't eating or drinking, weighs about <95 lbs. Skeletal. I've told her the angels are waiting for her and when she is ready they will take her. That she will see our parents and our sister again. I've been exhausted from this. I'm not doing anything except trying to be supportive to her.

I feel pretty much the same as you. Nothing about death to be afraid of. I'm not absolutely positive I believe anything about afterlife, etc., but what does it really matter, anyway.

NYgal -- I'm glad to see you back here too. I was thinking that maybe you were spending time with your sister. Completely understandable.......RiverBird -- I hope you enjoy your time in Maine.
