We have been having record breaking warm weather here in Philly. On Sunday it was 72, on Monday it dropped down to 64. It only gets into the 50's late at night.

In my neighborhood runners are jogging around in shorts and tank tops ... and Christmas is hardly more than a week away!!!

Several days ago I put my houseplants - which include two small tropical palm trees on my porch. They get more sunlight on the porch. We have not any hard freezes and the roses are still in bloom.

They say it has to do with El Nino.

How nice. It's 20° here, with supposedly light snow. I don't know which window they're looking out, but out of mine, that is NOT light snow.

We all shouldn't mind a nice mild winter once in a while. Everyone cross their fingers that it lasts til spring comes.

I was looking out over the front yard this morning and though..gee it could use a mowing.

It's warmer here in FL too, low 80's through Christmas is predicted. We're hosting Christmas Eve dinner and plan to eat out in the lanai with the sliders wide open to the house. Last year was too chilly for that but not this year.

Lol, Minnesotans never have to look for their car snow scrapers because we never even bother taking them out of the car.

Well, I am in the upper midwest and it is in the 50s here today. It has been cold at night, but our December day time temps have ranged between 35- high 50s. We have had lots of rain- thank goodness it wasn't snow- my sump pump has been running non-stop which is odd to hear in December. It is nice not to have the bitter cold and assorted snow/ice mix, but this unseasonable weather is a bit worrisome.

Because you're looking for the 2nd shoe to drop. We're the same here. It was warm enough not to wear long underwear today & that's unrealistic for this time of year for Minnesota.

Ah Monday morning, it's 8 degrees. Worker bees are scraping frost off their windshields, trudging off to work, sitting in fast food lines for that greasy breakfast burrito. I'm happily sitting here in front of the fire, with a hot cup of coffee contemplating what to make for a leisurely breakfast. Shall it be bacon and eggs? Or biscuits and sausage? Waffles?

Ain't retirement grand!

Can't believe it's almost Christmas. The checkout people looked totally exhausted.

Can't wait for after Christmas sales - looking for a GPS. Any suggestions??????

I will go to the proper forum so I don't get yelled at.
