Me too! I hate the wind. Scares me here at home, but not at a beach.

He posted a day or two ago, but I don't remember in which thread.

Thanks for thinking of me. I haven't had much to say recently, and worsening sight in one eye is keeping me off the computer other than for my client work. I just finished the amazing Neapolitan quartet of novels by Elena Ferrante in actual book form (not Kindle), spending every spare moment day and night reading, so that's contributed to eye strain. And, this time of year is pretty introspective for me, it's winter going on and on and quiet this year, no drama with weather. I'm venturing out for a cultural event for the first time in weeks to see a film of a concert with one of my favorite tenors, Jonas Kaufmann www.youtube.com/watch?v=-GVRoRILVD4, this Tuesday, but not going many places. Nice to be back on here this morning checking out the postings.

Getting the house tidied up for the day. Going to a small get together later.

Do y'all ever make plans, get all excited about it and then when the day arrives, don't feel like going? Trying to get out of that zone.

Riverbird, glad to see you back. Is the eye problem related to cataracts? I have that going on but at least it's treatable.

Yes, it's boring wintertime. I've been reading a book that needs to go back to the library. I'm going to the library tomorrow anyway for a talk on old time water wheels and water power. It's by the town historian. I love stuff like that.

For sure it's one great winter here in Texas. I'm all thrown off by it though.
Got the onion sets planted and lettuce. Went to the feed store and they have tomatoes, peppers and such all out for sale. Too early. Plum trees and apple trees started to bloom. Have to wait and see if I get any fruit this year as we haven't had that many cold days and they need a chill period.

It feels more like April rather than February.
Been outside enjoying every minute of it.
