It turns out that at the kitchen sink, the underside of the countertop where I'd lean in to wash dishes was unfinished. Once I lined up the shirt holes and that spot, it all made sense. I put a piece of duct tape on the underside of the counter and the problem stopped happening.

There could be other causes in your situation, and you can even google "small holes in front of shirts" to see some ways others have dealt with other causes.

Your suggestion seems very likely to me.

Wish I had known that year's ago. At least the mystery is solved.

On another note, today it was very hot but the breeze cooled anyone down when they were outside. Makes me re-think on moving.

DH & I were startled this week to receive a totally unsolicited cash offer to buy our house. Even more so because if we had taken it, we would have netted about 20% more than we had expected to gross when we sell the house next year.

Our house had come on the buyers' radar because the local big-city newspaper recently ran an article spotlighting our extremely low maintenance yard, with a couple of good pics.
We called a good realtor friend and she said "oh yes, that's happening to a lot of people here this spring, in fact you could probably negotiate the price up 10% more".

Sadly we can't accept the offer because there are literally zero rental apartments or houses anywhere near so we'd be homeless. Jeez, we never saw this coming. By the time we're ready to sell next year, it'll probably all be over.

Life has some strange twists and turns, doesn't it?

Yeah. Hope no one thinks I'm complaining, the offer just took us by surprise and I thought it worth mentioning here.
One of many reasons housing is so hot here is that a nearby area was socked by a major tornado a few months ago and hundreds of houses and apartments were wiped out. Plain-jane building lots here that were valued at 40k-60k this time last year are selling like hotcakes now at 90k.

I don't hear you complaining at all. I can imagine how surprised you were to get that offer. And having it come when the time wasn't right.

After a miserable year in TX and moving back to NY I received a job offer in TX! If it had come earlier, I believe I would have stayed there.

But I also believe that when these things happen, there is a reason (still haven't figured mine out), but there could be another (pleasant) surprise for you!

I hope so! And good luck to you.

Biscuit mom, if the offer is otherwise attractive to you, might be worth asking if they would accept a one year rent-back by you.

Default There are some very strange and very scary people on City-Data

Not that it's news to anyone who's been around here a while. Recently a got a direct message from someone (not a Retirement Forum poster) who claimed that digital TV is a plot by the elite to brainwash us all to make us easier to control. Allegedly our brain reads the digital TV signals without us being aware of it. Whoa, baby!

That's not a bad idea. It won't fly with this offer but if we get another one it might work.
