Spring is officially only a few days away and here I sit . . . rain rain rain all day -- and freezing rain starting after midnight (or so we have been warned).

Yesterday (Saturday) was lovely! It just didn't last!

Almost a haiku, keep at it, I like it.

You are so kind.

This has been such an extra long and boring winter with such hardship for so many people. I'm trying not to complain but how I want to see colors--green grass, colorful flowers, leaves on trees.

Our tempts dropped to the 20s again but no snow - maybe some tomorrow - not much.

Taxes are one - I heard we could expect a higher refund this year and they were right. By George I think my trip will be paid for.

Donations really make a big difference - if you itemize.

Night all~~~

Solid sheet of ice on my decks, driveway, the roof, the roads. No one spread any salt or sand this go round. Oh dear. Opened the door to take my doggie out, and well . . . forget that. I had a little bit of ice melt left, so I spread it enough to make a path for my dog to go pee but she only does her business up on a hill behind bushes. Don't know how we are going to manage that -- waaaay too slick to reach this morning.

Sure hope it warms up and melts this stuff b/f our power goes off!!!! The electricity has been flickering.

Spring? So close, and yet . . . :-)

Eek, Ani, your poor pup, we have ice everywhere, too. Praying the power stays on for you...<3

Well so much for moving South for better winters, lol. It's warmer here! (not by much).

Lots of snow this morning, but no ice. My street and sidewalk are already partially cleared. I post about my frustration with the snow and ice, but truthfully, it's no big deal.

I secretly acknowledge that I have it pretty good. No droughts worth mentioning, no wild fires, no life threatening tornadoes, hurricanes or earthquakes. Our snow and cold temperatures are relatively mild compared to the northern states and our heat and humidity are relatively mild compared to the southern states. Beautiful springs and autumns. I can drive 2 hours to reach the ocean or 2 hours to reach the mountains. It's all good.

Now, where's the damn sun?
