Wide awake at 12:24 a.m. Had the twins all day and they wore me out, despite the good time. I got into bed at 8:00 and was going to read or watch a movie but fell into a deep sleep for 4 1/2 hours. Now what am I going to do with the rest of this long night? I need someone to read me a story.
Right now near the bottom of page one in the Current Events Forum: "Idaho: Car crash caused by armpit hair fire". Apparently some 16-year-old lit the driver's armpit hair on fire while he was driving. That takes real brains, eh?

I posted on CD at 12:30 a.m. and then still not tired, so I read by my book light for an hour. Finally went back to sleep around 2:30 to the sound of others' (man and dog) snoring. Then I couldn't get up on this beautiful New England morning. I threw on my clothes and grabbed the other dog for my 10 a.m. walk, which I've promised myself to do rain or shine or snow. This dog pulls me along like I'm a sled. I felt like a sled this morning, lol.
One thing I can say for sure is that the hours we sleep before midnight are the most important ones. The 4 1/2 hours I got before 12:00 were enough to have me up and running. I was so rested. It was going back to sleep, those hours that made me get up late.
Well, using my wicker porch set in the living room....a tray table for the one lamp that's left and another for the bedroom clock .
Just watched the floor safe leave...didn't think I'd ever get somebody to haul that zillion pound sucker out of here.
Kitchen set, everybody seems to like but nobody follows through
OK for now, or I'd be packing up eBay stuff on the floor.
IKWYM old_cold, mom left her ginormous safe behind. I assume you are getting ready to fly south for the winter?
Yes...I am leaving on the 3rd. Of course, the one or two boxes being shipped have turned into 4 so far. That plus maxing out the luggage weight allowances.
What's been tough is that every single thing has to be out of the house....every...single...thing.
Talk about turning favorite and/or sentimental things into "are they worth the cost of shipping' things.
Thankfully, the kids took a lot! (Poor kids
I should post this in some other forum but knowing folks on here I respect your opinions...
I've spent part of the day reading reviews for portable cool-mist humidifiers and can find nothing that gets consistently good reviews (under $200). Many have mold/bacteria problems and filling problems, or the nightlight is too bright, or it dies after 3 years, etc.
Can anyone here please recommend one in this price range, a tried-and-true?
(heating season is approaching!)

Just a few days ago this is what happened in a South New Jersey suburb of Philly:
A police car crashed right into a Dunkin' Donuts store!
Somehow I find that hilarious!
