Had a great Easter. My daughter got a teaching job at OPS. So she and her bf will be moving up here. They are getting a head start on house hunting. It will be nice to have everyone living close by
Beautiful warm sunny day with crisp fresh air. Spent the morning visiting horses with the twins (now age 2) and then...potty training! Good lord can't believe I'm doing this again. One gets it, the other doesn't, but all in due time. They don't stop chattering and singing and demanding to do things. They've gone and I'm flat out on the sofa.
BJW, it's really nice that family is moving closer. It can be really hard to get together from great distances. I hope the move works out well.
One thing I find very annoying about growing older is that fact (for me at least) things like cuts and bruises don't heal as fast as they used to.
Example: About three to three and a half months ago I accidentally brushed up beside the pedal of a bicycle. I scraped my leg just a few inches below the knee. No big deal ... it was sometime later I realized the skin was actually broken and there was a tiny bit of bleeding. The bleeding was insignificant and just one regular band-aid was sufficient. Coincidentally just two weeks later I banged the same leg into a slightly opened draw on my bedroom dresser in a different spot a few inches away from the two other bruises.
Now here it is more than three months later and the skin is still dark where the 'black and blue' bruises were.
Can anyone relate to my annoyance?

I can relate to the frustration of taking longer to heal. When the kids were little, for bruises I'd mix vinegar or witch hazel with warm water, soak a soft flannel cloth in it and lay it on the bruise. Apparently the vinegar increases the circulation. Seemed to help. You can also alternate very cool with very warm compresses, to increase circulation. Have a beer.

Relate to your annoyance? Heck yes! What used to heal in two days now takes two weeks.

I use triple antibiotic on it (if it's a cut) and then open a vitamin E capsule and rub it on the cut/bruise.
