I can't afford to move 50 miles away to where I want to live, I sure can't afford to live in Alaska. Well the howling 30-50mph winds kept me up all night, had windows open it was so warm and this morning everything has a layer of dirt on it. Wind Warning today, snow forecast for tonight and Friday.

70mph winds here last night. Might have been stronger up here since we aren't "down in the valley". Up at 3:00am to retrieve a sunscreen that blew off and was banging against a metal fence and the bay in the bedroom. Also blew our cast iron furniture (Heavy!) off the raised area at the back corner of the lot. All I can say is

Nah, I'm a charter member, lol. It's just that I had never gone this long without getting my wrist (or any other body part) slapped.

I wondered about that. You are not known for being shy about your opinions. And shouldn't be. All it takes is a whiner and ZAP!

Winds have been 30mph plus for 24 hours now, gusts at 60 plus. Have roof shingles blown off and my front screen door blew off. I've been going out to water my dirt yard every couple of hours to keep the dust down some.

Will be so happy when this cold front arrives tonight and it snows.

Default Weather Wimp......

OK, my turn to complain......
Approx 4:05 MDT; 46.31N / 114.12 W; elevation approx 3500'.......calm, 35 degrees F and falling.
About 48 miles south of Missoula air port and SNOW.
Yeah, I know.........I chose to live here many yrs ago, but come on, my wild flowers have just started to come up!!!!!!
I should mention:......counted 15 WT Deer in one group about 60 feet from the deck about noon time (5 Does with their respective TWIN yearling fawns born Last May.)
Twins are very common in this area.
Also at about 9 am this morning had 2 male pheasants picking some gravel on the driveway and a Pileated Wood Pecker making a racket on a dead Pondarosa out by the dog run.
Yes, Spring is here, but with a delay of a few days.

The wind is 'practicing' for the May winds! I hate May just for that reason. It's windy up here too but after reading the guys posts I'm not so inclined to complain!
