I prefer to have the main meal of the day anywhere from 12 to 3 p.m. That way the cooking is done early and the kitchen is cleaned up and the evening is mine to relax and do whatever. Have a light snack mid evening works for me. When I was working I couldn't do this on a regular basis but I did when I would go out for lunch with co-workers..have a full meal, then when I got home I didn't have to rush to get dinner and be starving on top of it all....It worked for me before I became "elderly" and it's works now! Hey more hours to work the meal off!

They say that eating your heavy meal earlier is better for you. I make sure my mom has a nicer lunch because come late afternoon, she often refuses to eat much.
