Just a thought for you ladies that seem to be spearheading this:

I subscribe to MORE Magazine - probably a lot of you do too?
I bet your dream-to-reality project would make a neat story for the magazine & perhaps garner you some publicity &/or financing.

Loving this thread & the great ideas being bounced around.
Sally forth, ladies, sally forth!
Hi Piperspal,
I have only posted a few times on this thread and am trying to catch up too...so much to read...I think I've made it to page 35!

Do you like More Magazine? I have been trying to find it around my neighborhood and can't, I even emailed them to ask where I could get it and they said they didn't know. I guess I will have to subscrible.

I enjoy More magazine also. Have you checked any of the chain bookstores (e.g. Borders, Barnes & Noble)...I know they carry it.

For your info, here's their website:

Thank you for the magazine suggestion. I looked at the website and it's very interesting.
I'm new to this thread, but have been looking in from time to time.

I got the Womens Comfort Book from the library and it looks really helpful. It seems to fit for me at this time in my life too. The website http://www.comfortqueen.com/ (http://http://www.comfortqueen.com/ - broken link)
and free newsletter also seem pretty useful. Simple enough to fit into a busy life, yet still be valuable.

Thanks for mentioning her.

I just found some old MORES in the free magazine bin at my library. It seems, though, to be aimed at people a little younger than I.

hey there - just got power back after an ice storm took it out for four days!

Yes - I like More mag. very much. The subsribing rate is cheap & they always give you a little box to check & send your pal a free subscription. So far I have added my mom, sister & 2 friends!

The magazine is very positive about women having a "second act" later in life. I think they'd find this group of women very interesting....

I subscribed to More for a few years but it really is not for "seniors" (I am 62). It caters to the 40 - 55 group mainly, and still the photos are airbrushed. Even the Jamie Lee Curtis "natural" covers. If I magazine showed a TRUE 55-60 year old in their underwear (without airbrushing and special effects) they would not sell many copies...ha!

I can't figure out why the link doesn't work. If I cut and past it in, it works, but it doesn't work by clicking on it. This was the first time I tried to post a link here.
