Since we don't have a Boomer section i thought i'd put this here. We had a good discussion on the health Section about when hitting Mid Life taking a ''Sabbatical'' to find your self etc..I thought Wisteria's Thread and Post about her journey to New Mexico and Colorado with Pics was great and wish we had more stories or a Boomer site out there that had a ''Sabbatical Forum'' as although i'm 43 i feel the urge to do that sometimes as my life has been very stagnant these last few years although my career and finances are fine although thats not the main focus of my life.

Anyway here's the site and the 8 min video link about Betsey making the Mid Life move after being laid off from here career job and her decision to make a radical change and move in her life.

Just thought it was interesting to pass along

Here's a news item and survey of what boomers would like to do in the future.
Yahoo! Personal Finance (broken link)

It seems some of the results are kind of conflicted.

Thanks Waterlily for the Yahoo link...

I wonder if the Main Mod's would ever consider a Boomer Sub Forum on the Reitirement Forums here on CD....

Someone asked about this before and while I like the idea since many issues are different when you are a boomer, it was felt by others it would just open the door to others wanting a forum for their age group.
Waterlily is the moderator for this forum. She can tell you if a topic is OK for the retirement forum or should be posted in another forum.

JMHO.. I think you are way to young to be considered a Boomer.

A lot of Boomer topics could be posted here. It's just that boomers ages are spread way out. Most of the people here are on the high side of 50 or older since we are thinking about retirement. Some people on the forum are retired.

We just started getting one of our retirement pensions and boy is it nice! (I know that's off topic but I'm excited.)
