I think middle age is whatever age is halfway between birth and eventual death. The trick, obviously, is in being able to pinpoint when you're going to assume room temperature. I'm working on it but any insight any of you may have is welcome. Please just don't tell me I reached middle age at 30. If that's the case, lie.

At What Age Do You Change From Being "Middle Aged" to Being a
"Senior"?
I was 62 when I started to consider myself a "Senior." I'm still reluctant to ask for discounts, but I've been doing that more and more these past couple of years. But I'll be in full Senior mode, when I turn 65. That I know.

I say -- Accept your inner Geezer!

In some ways I've been older my whole life. In some, younger. It's just a number, but birthdays themselves are to be celebrated as the one day it's really all about you.

What real difference does it make? You are a senior when you feel like you are...maybe when you want to take advantage of a discount. 50,55,60,62,65,70-1/2? Pick one

Both my parents are still alive and well at 89 and 87. They are the seniors, which leaves me middle-aged. I still get to be the kid for a while.

Depends on the age for the discount.

US Census considers middle age 35 - 55 most other sources claim 40 - 60.

Senior age is when you decide it is. Life is what you make out of it, you're only as old as you feel. Right now I feel 30 yrs younger than I am and I ran with Teddy Roosevelt and the Rough Riders...
