CarolinaWoman, please tell your husband for me: Thank you for your service -- and welcome home.

And what a great post.

I am grateful for my 20 y.o. college student son. He came very unexpectedly as I began my second marriage. Being an active parent raising him forced me to stay young. I'll be 73 next month.

Well, I didn't think, for one moment, I would get so many 'grateful for spouse' posts. They have brought tears to my eyes and joy to my heart. And you all have made me aware that I really wish I could have found the right man and could have been the right woman for some man. But I ain't dead yet -- how knows what the future will bring!

Thank you all so much -- everyone of you -- for your posts.

New day - second verse same as the first.

And Fran, you're right. Where there's life there's hope!

My brother, he moved here in 2011, we always have been close, however we are even closer now.

He is divorced and my husband died 7 years ago, so we help each other out when we need to. We each live our own lives, however, we do enjoy each others company.

And, on the lighter side, I'm grateful that I made it through my one-hour exercise class and I don't have to do it again until tomorrow!

i am grateful for all the years i had with my late husband and the many wonderful memories i have of the thirty six years we had together.
i am also grateful for the significant other now in my life- together 10 years- and his tender and nurturing nature.
although there are many other things for which i am grateful, i have to include my three cats who are a part of my life and my heart.
on most days,i consider myself a fortunate woman .

Amazing isn't it! It's good to see a 'happy' post with so much doom and destruction going on around us. Last week when hubby did the grocery shopping he bought a different treat for our dog. I explained to Gussie that Pup-Daddy had to have some sequester cuts in the household ... was a sad week for Gussie being sequestered ... but Pup-Daddy returned to the store and bought Gussie his favorite Beggin' Strips.

You are right .... you ain't dead yet ... so who knows maybe Mr. Right will just walk into your life one day and sweep you off your feet.
