I permit myself about 2 drinks per week ... sometimes a cocktail during a happy hour with friends, and a glass of wine with dinner on another night. Sometimes I go 3 or 4 weeks without even 1 drink. When on vacation I might have a drink every day.
My limit is strictly 1 drink in a day ... because of an abdominal surgery I had 3 years ago I cannot "hold" liquor very well, and anything more than one standard size drink causes me to get tipsy. Besides I am usually the designated driver.
I'll drink sparkling wine, if it's the cheap stuff ($9-10/bottle). I also really enjoy champagne, but, again, I dont like the taste of anything expensive.
And I've never been known to turn down a margarita or two (or three, especially when I'm playing poker).
They were being disrespectful on purpose. I don't find that humorous. Why not tell them to be more tolerant of my beliefs instead. Why shouldn't they be drinking?

Do not drink. It's poison to the body! A waste of time and money...my personal opinion mind you!
