I start my commute at 530am and don't get home until 6 so I would love to end the loooong commute too.

That was always the worst part about my job, the long commute into the city that began at 6:00 a.m. when I left the house. I will say that towards the end you will say, This is my last October, now it's my last snowy morning (in late March), no more spring evenings, ten more wake-ups, now it's my final Monday .... and before you know it, it'll be all over......

I don't have much of a commute only 10 minutes to work. When I took time off before my 2 week schedule started about 25 days it was great for once I didn't concern myself about what was going to be waiting for me at work it was so relaxing, I guess my mind set was that if they decided for me not to return until summer that would be ok. I do still give 100% of myself while at work they are great people to work with and for but I just don't want to be here.

I'm already thinking ahead like that. Just this week I mentioned to my boss that next winter will be the last winter we have to spend there.

I have a myspace page that I put a countdown clock on when I was planning on retiring last February. When I decided when I was going I noticed I had 52 hours sick time left. So I informed my boss I was coming down with a 52 hour virus! Was nice leaving early after 27 years!

Isn't it wonderful, though? This would have been my first day back to school & I am glad to say that I do not miss it at all.

Hey Nancy, how's is it going in your retirement have you found that you have so much to do that you didn't know how you found time to work? My poor husband has worked harder this summe than he's worked in years. Kind of funny how that happens

have you found that you have so much to do that you didn't know how you how you found time to work ~~~~ YES ! ! !

Thanks for asking Coartist ~~ everything is just fine ! The best part is never having to look at a calendar. What's today? Who cares ? Like that song :

Does anybody really know what time it is, does anybody even really care????

Hi Tressa ~~~Well, this would have been my second day back to school and I have to say that I do not miss it at all. It is already as if it all happened long ago to someone else.

It is great...my only regret is that I couldn't have left sooner...

I have about 6 years left in my programming career. I guess I'll create a countdown program. Can never start too soon with the countdown.
