Over the course of my almost 67 years I've been called a lot of things, including old, and have willingly answered to most of them. Late for dinner is not one!

The older I get, the dumber those who object to old age appear.

Many didn't live long enough to be old so we are the fortunate ones.

If yes, when were you first called "old". Did you have any initial resistance to being called old?
What made it easy for you to accept this label?

No - I am not comfortable being called "old".
If no, when were you first labeled "old"? What makes this label difficult to accept?
When do you think you will be "old"?
I'll be 71 in a few months and I don't recall anyone ever calling me "old". I call myself that every now and then but people will disagree with me about it. I still have my health, a ton of energy and live a good life. When people do find out how old I am they don't believe it. I honestly think I LOOK my age but evidently my personality and energy make me seem 'younger' somehow. If anyone ever did call me "old" I'd probably say "Yup and proud of it!".

I'm in the C category. I don't mind calling myself old, if someone else calls me old, it could sting. Depends who it is and their intent.

I do realize I am old though and am preparing myself to transition.

I'm 62 with gray hair. But I feel funny if younger people/kids speak of me as "old." I run marathons and am generally a high-energy person. I suppose I really will be "old" before too many more years.
