we went to the bronx zoo today. we lucked out with a few of the animals , we actually saw them.

usually they are so far out in the field you can't see them or they sit with their back to you.

a few months ago we had a guy jump off the monorail to be with the tigers and they mauled him.

we became members because if you go more than once it pays and it also covers going to the ny aquarium. it can cost close to 100 bucks for a couple at the zoo with parking.
here are a few favorites from today

Wow, those are some GREAT photos mathjak. What kind of camera do you use? I really love your photos.

Here are some photos I snapped from our trip to Europe last summer. We spent 3 months living in Europe last year and really loved it!

i use a nikon d800 with a nikon 16-35mm lens, nikon 24-120mm ,nikon 105mm macro vr and my favorite the nikon 70-200mm f2.8 . then for close work we use the nikon r1c1 macro flashes and extension tubes to magnify.

ball park cost is about 10k for the above

marilyn uses nikon d7000 with 18-300mm ,nikon 105mm macro , r1c1 macro flashes and extension tubes to magnify .

we shoot very plain and boring in camera for technical reasons. all the looks and creativity are seasoned to taste after we get home and think about the look we want to convey.

Oh wow.. You're practically a pro! No wonder your photos look so great! (Just kidding). I'm sure you have something to do with it as well. I just use a point and shoot and my Iphone for mine. Maybe once I fully retire then I'll spend some serious time and money on photography equipment but right now my kids would probably drop it. Not good...

Thanks for the link mathjak! Definitely you should think about it. Your photos are VERY good. There is a huge demand for real estate photography. One of my friends got started in it and now he gets flown around the world for his photographs. I know real estate photography is different but I know there is demand for that for people renting out their vacation properties as well as people selling their homes. Some people are making a fortune doing that. Thanks again.
